Dirt Riot announces No Schedule for 2020
From Big Rich Klein:
Since 2011, Dirt Riot has provided a race schedule that covered all of the United States at one time or another. With over ten races a year for the last few, the workload has gotten to be too much for us.
It is with a heavy heart we announce the shuttering of Dirt Riot Endurance Racing for 2020 and beyond. No one knows better than we do how much we appreciate the people who have supported this series, it’s just gotten to be too much. As we get older, the physicality of setting racecourses and traveling across the country multiple times a year has taken a toll.
When we weighed the factors that make our lives difficult, things like the challenge in finding race sites, shrinking competitor bases, and financial resources, between the WE Rock and Dirt Riot series, WE Rock won out.
That says nothing about the people. That couldn’t factor into our decision because if it was only about the people, Dirt Riot would live on forever. We have been so fortunate to meet and get to know so many racers hailing from all states around the US. We have friends and family everywhere now and are so privileged to have been part of so many lives.
Our hope is those friendships continue and we find ways to spend time with those we’ve gotten to know and love. We hope all those who have built cars and are ready to race, support the series that are local to you. We hope that each of you continues to spend time with each other on the racecourse and off. We are thrilled that our race series created so many friendships. Our goal was to teach you to race, to establish your race family so you could each be successful wherever you raced.
From the outside, it looks like we accomplished our goals, we hope you think so too.
Thank you for your love, support and incredible commitment to Dirt Riot for the last nine years, we wish you all the best in your futures. Please look for us at WE Rock and 4Low events in the years to come, you all have a place in our heart.
