Jason Kaminsky and Rick Jenkins kicked off the 2015 rock crawling season this past weekend. The team participated in a double-header event held at the Thompson ranch in Congress, Arizona. On Saturday, Kaminsky piloted the #4678 in its first professional rock crawling event in the WEROCK Modified-Stock class. Jenkins put his two decades of off road experience to good use spotting, stacking rocks, and winching through five out of the six difficult courses. At the end of the day,
the team ended up with a first place finish in their class.
The plan was to then race the same vehicle in the 4600 class Dirt Riot event held on Sunday, but having broken their steering gear and subsequently the radiator, the team was unable to participate. Jason & Rick took the time instead to socialize with fans and other teams at the event, as well as take pictures and video for other drivers.
“Although we didn’t get to compete in Sunday’s event, we both really felt that the weekend was a success. Rock crawling is definitely back and it was great to see so many teams and spectators at the event. We haven’t been able to drive the #4678 since our last event in August of 2014 so it was really enjoyable to be back in the driver’s seat competing. The Moab Easter Jeep Safari is less than three weeks away and now it’s time to focus on getting the car ready for our next event,” commented Kaminsky.
Be sure to catch the team at their next event to be held in Area BFE in Moab, Utah during the 2015 Easter Jeep Safari on Saturday, April 4th.
The team wishes to recognize its 2015 marketing partners who make everything possible:
