“The Nitto Tire / NorthStar Battery car performed flawlessly today”, said Derek
The team got the car all back together after KOH and decided to go do a little testing and go see what this new car could do on a woods racing course. Derek was a little worried that the extra width could be an issue when negotiating tight woods trails at speed. This proved to be a non issue and the new car can still split the trees at speed just as Derek has done in the past. “I was really itching to get out and continue testing and tweaking on this new car. While we had a good finish at KOH we had enough issues before the race that we just didn’t have the 
test time in that we wanted. Braking and horsepower were two of the major changes on this car and they are proving to be making us faster, I am ready to start turning up the horsepower now to get ready for the Ultra4 Stampede event”, said Derek.
