The Dirt Riot Central Series kicked off the season at its brand new location in Texas at the Hidden Falls Adventure Park. Forty-five competitors made the trek to Southwest Texas and it would be Carl Langerhans who would be at the top of the podium with a first place in the Pro 4400 class, his first Dirt Riot win. “Once again, we would like to publicly thank Joey Sanchez at 4WD Factory and the whole Crawling Chaos crew for their hard work at putting together the course at this new location,” said Rich Klein, President and founder of W.E. Rock Events and Dirt Riot.
The 4400 class race was a fast one, on a short three and a half mile course, there was concern among the racers that the race wouldn’t be a lot of fun, but it proved differently. The race was shortened to two hours to account for the shortened track and because there were lots of high-speed areas, and at the end Crawling Chaos Carl Langerhans completed eighteen laps for the win. The rest of the field finished as follows: 2nd place winner 927 Doug Kahlstrom, 3rd place Sommertime Motorsports Chris Sommer, 4th place Bent & Twisted Racing Billy Briney, Gilstrap Racing Clay Gilstrap taking 5th, followed by sister 6th place winner Gilstrap Racing Shelby Gilstrap, Darrell Gray placing 7th, Dynamic Off-Road Cody Consford with 8th place, Barco Motorsports BJ Allen 9th place, and Tony Arledge taking 10th place.
Duane Garretson of the Come Get Ya Some team from Arkansas stepped up in to the 4500 class to battle CRAWLfish Racing Jason Davis and came out the victor.
Higherlimits Racing Kevin Crocker and Rockware Motorsports / FatBoyz Josh Jackson battled in the 4600 class, Kevin finished the race one minute sooner with the win. Carlos Banegas and Dirty Bird Racing Gary Marx took home the wins in the Stock Trail and Unlimited Trail classes, respectively.
Darrick Gray, son of Darrell Gray who has moved to the 4400 class, and Steven (Delco) David rounded out the podium for the Mod Trail class. Duane Garretson taking 1st place, 2nd place Darrick Gray, 3rd Steven David, 4th HMB Racing Ben Hudson, 5th Luis Landois, 6th Wilson Off-Road Emma Wilson, 7th Cody St. Clair, and 8th place Cucaracha Racing Joshua Puente.
As the UTV’s took the course with some crazy fast lap times; carnage rapidly dropped the field of 21 to the eight who finished on the lead lap. Terrell Gauny took home the honors, with Advantage Racing Whimpy Lawson of Oklahoma just a minute behind in the one hour race. 1st place Terrell Gauny, 2nd place Whimpy Lawson, 3rd Strickland Racing Casey Strickland, 4th Bent & Twisted Racing Kirk McClure, 5th Bent & Twisted Racing Ricky Briney, 6th Bj Kohlleppel, 7th Derek Robinson, 8th Matt Schwoerer, 9th Cody Keller, 10th Lindsay Syler, 11th Lucas Preece, 12th Shawn Inman, 13th Thomas Ellis, 14th Jonas Burnett, 15th Dustin Weeks, 16th Brian Schroeder, 17th Wesley Gryner, 18th Josh Marasek, 19th Gerry Davis, 20th Brian Davis, and Rick Auld taking 21st.

Dirt Riot Competitive Central Series Starts This Weekend at Hidden Falls Adventure Park in Texas
Racing Saturday March 15th Starting at 9am in Marble Falls, TX at Hidden Falls Adventure Park
BLACKFOOT, ID MARCH 10, 2014: The Dirt Riot Central Series will kick-off the season at a brand new location: Hidden Falls Adventure Park not far outside Marble Falls, Texas. The 4 mile course is enclosed in fence which makes it extremely spectator friendly with over 80% of the course seen from the fence line. Local sponsor 4WD Factory will be joining Maxxis Tires and Torch Monkey in promoting the event and displaying in vendor row among food vendors and the Official Merchandise of Dirt Riot. Racing starts at 9am and will go until at least 5pm, with the awards immediately following.
“We started Dirt Riot three years ago in the Central area and are always glad to come back to the group of racers that have been with us since the beginning,” said Rich Klein, President and founder of W.E. Rock Events. “We are excited to be at the new location and want to extend our thanks to Joey Sanchez at 4WD Factory and the whole Crawling Chaos crew for their hard work at putting the course together.”
Local UTV and 4×4 Sportsman drivers are encouraged to join in on the racing fun. With only some simple safety requirements, anyone is able to come and race! Drivers are encouraged to pre-register through our online system available at http://www.werocklive.com/events/dirt-riot-central-round-1-2.
